It all started when Yves Ballenegger founded " Globetrucker ", a non profit organisation aiming at bringing school supplies by truck to the children of Mongolia. Upon returning from its first trip, Yves brought with him a few yurts, hoping to sell them in Switzerland, his home country. Back home the response was overwelming... Groovyyurts (called earlier Y&Co) was subsequently created. Profits help cover certain costs such as return trips enabeling Globetrucker to remain a fully non-profit organisaton run solely by volunteers. Yves has since moved to Canada to be with his wife.
