Quality

Mongolian YurtA yurt is a hand made product. The North American climate is more humid than the Mongolian climate and therefore our yurts are specially adapted. We ensure the very best materials are used. Our white felt (made in Mongolia) is more resistant to humidity than traditional Mongolian felt. It is very dense and guarantees great insulation. The tarps are also specially selected to best resist to Northern climates. The wood is dried for an extensive period of time and subsequently carved and shaped by our manufacturer’s family based 500 km from Ulan Bator, Mongolia’s capital.

We do our very best to source the highets possible quality in Mongolia and continousely improve our yurts. Still, it must be clear that these are hand made in Mongolia and that one cannot expect the exactitude and precision of an industrial product. This is also part of the beauty of these yurts!

AssemblyMongolian Yurt

We can offer our clients an assistance the first time they assemble their new yurt. Although an assembly guide is provided, your participation will ensure you can assemble and disassemble your yurt on your own in the future. Mooring is not necessary. It usually takes 1/2 day to a day to 2 to 4 people the first time, but a single person can do it in 2 hours with a bit of training.

We can provide with platform plans and suggestions and do now even sell our own - Quebec made - insulated and movable platforms.

Maintenance

Mongolian YurtAlthough no particular maintenance is required, the secret to a long lasting yurt is regular heating and airing out. This little haven doesn’t like to be ignored. We have acquired a healthy dose of experience caring for these special accommodations and would gladly share our knowledge with you.

Availability and spare parts

We have several yurts in stock in the Montreal region (QC), in Ontario (Muskokas), Northern California (Colfax), Montana (Missoula) and Utah (Boulder). They are available for sale or rent. We can deliver and help you with assembly. We also have various spare parts in stock such as rods, felt, tarps, rope, curtains and other miscellaneous items (as well as the beautiful traditional furniture!).

"at yurt service" - Customer service and aftermarket support

You can reach somebody at Groovyyurts almost 7 days a week through our toll free number, 1 888 GROOVYY. Should you have to leave a message, we'll call you back within 48 hours at the latest.

If you're setting up your yurt on your own, let us know the date: we'll make sure to have somebody on call even if it's late evening or week-end.

Last but not least, we encourage our customers to join our groovy network and become Groovyyurts representatives. They have a yurt, have made their experience, and are ready to help... This is also a nice opportunity for some additional revenues.

And because we are nomads too, we organise usually once a year our groovy delivery tour through USA and Canada which gives us the opportunity to meet you and provide direct support and advice. Groooooovy!!
